The fate of Pakistan will be decided today in the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) meeting in Paris. He has not received any relief from FATF. Due to financial help to the terrorists, it was decided to keep it in the gray list till February 2020. It can be officially announced today.
Pakistan has failed to stop cases related to terrorist funding and money laundering. Due to which there is a danger of being blacklisted. However, due to the support of China, Turkey and Malaysia, it is more likely that Pakistan will remain in the gray list.
Actually, a country needs the support of three countries to avoid being blacklisted. Pakistan has the support of China, Turkey and Malaysia. There is a possibility that they will avoid being blacklisted. The delegation led by Pakistan's Economic Affairs Minister Hammad Azhar said in the meeting that Pakistan had made positive progress on 20 out of 27 points.
The FATF expressed satisfaction over the steps taken by Pakistan and its progress in many areas. Apart from this, China, Turkey and Malaysia appreciated the steps taken by Pakistan. India has demanded to blacklist Pakistan. India says it has approved Hafiz Saeed to withdraw money from freeze accounts.
Pakistan is currently in the gray list and is trying to come out of it. The FATF gave Pakistan till October to complete the action against money laundering and terrorist funding. Delegates from 205 countries participated in this meeting.
